Beaumont

I was born In 1960 and the big old town of Port Arthur Texas and St. Mary’s Hospital. In 1969 I was nine years old and we moved to Beaumont Texas a little upgrade for Port Arthur and a decent childhood here and my daddy was an excellent Shadetree mechanic, he new plumbing electrical etc. and he was a man of integrity but his passion was automobiles
he could do anything with the hands man he fixed cars fixed plumbing… Etc. I was his number one anyway I was introduced tutor hardware stores here in Beaumont it was Travis Brothers we ain’t gonna discuss that there was Jack’s hardware they got toasted and then there Was M&D We passionately called it because it just couldn’t help it mud dirt well Travis Brothers went out of business Jack’s burned up and he had the The big box stores very impersonal hard to get educated people to know what they doing and then big box stores. I have been going to MD probably for the last 45 Years plus the majority of their employees I would say 95% are educated in hardware and every once in a while you know you get someone that’s just learning. Yesterday I had the pleasure of I don’t know what Young’s name is that I spoke with yesterday at the Beaumont M&D But he reminded me of myself in my youth at that age long hair very polite he seemed like he had a good head on his shoulders just a pleasant young man and I found out that he was knowledgeable I was born in the time where we had a little pop-up things in the sinks we had a little rubber plugs right with a little chain on it I asked him I need one he had no problem didn’t hesitate took me right to it got the right one as I described it to him. I faint him for his service and I went to check out that’s where I met Zaire where are the check-in ladies in the back by the lumber very polite very cared yourself well she seemed like she was taking care of me like I was the only customer that ever comes there I couldn’t help buy her a bag whatever it was that you know I’m of the old school that when people show they care etc. you need to acknowledge them and on a personal error I bought I don’t know his chips or whatever I don’t care and I’m writing this long message because she deserves kudos for helping me in the door and out the door cause I’m handicap so I would like to think Mud &Dirt Once again for exhibiting the example of putting the customer first and making sure that they are satisfied and got what they want it whenever they they came in there I didn’t have to him haul around people that didn’t know what they was doing etc. etc. so to Zaire and the long haired young man that reminded me of myself and in that age thank you thank you thank you and if you keep on keeping on striving to be the best you can you will go far in life. As a matter of fact I’m going back toM&D Today sometime
